A partner who has been there from the beginning, McDonald's
Restaurants of Canada have had a long-standing relationship with
Rick and the Rick Hansen Foundation, dating back to the original
Man In Motion World Tour in 1987 - where McDonald's customers
raised $1.8 million from coast-to-coast. For the Rick Hansen 25th
Anniversary Relay, the Relay will pass through or stop at
McDonald's restaurants across Canada as it makes its way to
Vancouver, BC.
Nike
Nike supported the original Man In Motion World Tour as Rick
passed through 34 countries with the Nike 'swoosh' proudly adorned
on his chest. This will be the case again for the Rick Hansen 25th
Anniversary Relay, with each participant - and Rick - wearing
uniforms provided by Nike as the Relay makes its 12,000 kilometre
journey.
